Woman is a Force for Change in Society
Woman is a Force for Change in Society
Yousef Yakoub – Daraa
Women have played a crucial and central role in the advancement of both ancient and modern societies. Through this role, they have proven their ability to bring about positive change in the Syrian reality. Their noticeable presence in various aspects of life, standing side by side with men, has effectively contributed to the process of societal transformation.
The positive change we seek today in our society is greatly dependent on the reality of women and their ability to fulfill their roles. They play a fundamental role in building and caring for families by raising and nurturing children. Additionally, they bear a significant burden as wives, as the never-ending household chores consume most of their time.
As societies progress and evolve, women have not only adhered to their duties towards their families and the upbringing of their children but have also assumed significant social roles in various fields. Based on their educational, cultural, and social qualifications, their roles in society have diversified across all levels.
“The woman is half of society” is not just in terms of composition but also in terms of impact. Whether as a mother, sister, wife, grandmother, teacher, educator, or worker, women assume multiple roles that have a positive impact. Despite this, many of their rights are neglected in all these roles.
Granting women their rights is essential for the development of society, enabling them to actively and dynamically participate in building and development affairs. Our current reality indicates that educating and empowering women positively influences both society and the family, whether in educational, economic, or health matters. If we support women in the best possible way and integrate them into all aspects of society, women will become a strategic force supporting development and transformation in society.
Therefore, it is important to have a supportive force for women that emphasizes the importance of their capabilities and praises their effective roles. This encourages them to possess basic resources and utilize them, managing them to achieve accomplishments that elevate both the individual and society together.
